this hotel woudl ve been decent if not for the incessant noise from the breakfast area. The bathroom ceiling leaking like a disgrace. , i expected a room upgrade for my troubles, instead i was just treated like another guest, almost gave a good review, but really couldn’t.

missingWrote a review on Dec 02great locationuncomfortable key policyexcessive heating
The hotel is strategically located near several trailheads.
My stay was marred by a few significant issues. I was quite uncomfortable with the key policy, which required leaving my key at the front desk each time I went out. it felt like an invasion of privacy and challenged my trust in the staff. Additionally, the heating in my room was excessive upon arrival. it took a full hour to cool down from an unbearable 90°F (30°C). Lastly, the bathroom was cramped and in dire need of updating, making it a rather unpleasant experience overall.

The bed in the Standard Queen Room was comfortable, but we discovered a rotten banana in our room. The location was walkable to restaurants and trailheads, making it convenient.

The location is fantastic for accessing nearby trails and dining options. However, the room felt cramped with insufficient space for our luggage, and showering was a tight squeeze. The breakfast could be better for preparing for hiking. don’t rely solely on it.

During my stay at Lago Del Desierto, the public spaces impressed me, particularly the cozy couch areas and the large table upstairs that provided an excellent workspace. The hotel's central location made it convenient for accessing trailheads and dining options. Overall, the room provided adequate comfort and met my needs while working remotely.
The breakfast failed to offer sufficient options for preparing for a full day of hiking.

Just a fine choice for taking strolls in El Chalten with fantastic value for money. The staff were super quick to fix a power outlet issue in my room. Bring your own snacks if you need something filling in the morning.
